The Adirondack Mission is comprised of five partnered Episcopal churches of Brant Lake, Chestertown, North Creek, Newcomb, and Schroon Lake.
Church of The Good Shepherd in Chestertown, New York is one of Five parishes in the group of Adirondack Mission churches within the Diocese of Albany. We also have St. Andrew’s Schroon Lake, St. Chriptopher’s North Creek, St. Barbara’s Newcomb and St Paul’s Brant Lake.
We have a service of Holy Communion each Sunday at these churches and are a welcoming community to visitors of all faiths.
Our retreat house and surrounding property have been revitalized as a refuge for all individuals who desire a stronger connection with God and Creation. We embody simple living, communal prayer, and practice internal spiritual work as the monks and nuns did walking these grounds since the 1970’s.
