Black Bear Restaurant
Pottersville's Black Bear Restaurant offers a family atmosphere, home style cooking and daily specials. Play all NYS lottery Games plus OTB. Separate bar. Open all year.
The Black Bear Restaurant & Bar has been owned by the Stetson family since 1950. At the time Bill and Delva Stetson took it over, it was an ice cream / hot dog stand with walk-up windows and gas pumps out front. In the early years the Black Bear was a major stop on the Greyhound bus route, and in the mid-fifties the bar was added. In 1970, youngest son Robert 'Butch' Stetson took over from his mother. He continued to expand the building and the business to what it is today - very well known in the Adirondack area and beyond. The Black Bear serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and sports a fully stocked bar. It's a family oriented restaurant with home style cooking and friendly service - some of the staff have been there longer than Butch! Contact Info
