North Warren Chamber of Commerce

The North Warren Chamber is pleased to announce this years VIP and Business of the Year winners.

The VIP Award recognizes an individual from the Town of Horicon or Chester whose leadership role in civic activities and commitment to the community are outstanding. He or she is someone who has made notable contributions to improving the lives of others through volunteerism and active community participation.This year we are pleased to announce that Mr. John Nick as our VIP for 2019! He is the current President of the Loon Lake Park District Association, Chestertown Rotary Member, Volunteer member of the Tri-Lakes Business Alliance, and so much more! He most recently designed and installed the HVAC system for the Town of Chester Wellness Center. He has been a chair member for many committees including; Memory Tree Fundraiser, North Warren School Scholarship committee, and member of the planning board for the Town of Chester. John Nick also designed and managed the renovation project at our very own and beloved Dynamite Hill Ski area. His volunteerism and leadership has been a seen by many members in our community. The VIP committee members and the North Warren Chamber Board are very pleased to honor John Nick as our 2019 VIP.

The Business of the Year Award recognizes a local enterprise from either the Town of Horicon or the Town of Chester that has made notable accomplishments. Criteria include: Must be a member in good standing of the North Warren Chamber of Commerce; Contributes and promotes the economic growth, stability and improvement of the area which the Chamber serves, and; Volunteers and/or participates with community associations. The Business of the Year goes to Larry and Deborah Stephenson with Stephenson’s Lumber/Riverside Truss/Lincoln Logs. Stephenson Lumber Company has been a huge part of our community for many years. It opened in August of 1985 and has provided our community with quality lumber, building material, and employment opportunities. In addition to the lumber company, Riverside Truss which began operations in Riparius provides the Northeast with skillfully crafted roof and floor truss systems. In 2009, they added Original Lincoln Logs to the Stephenson Family, therefore creating a larger service for the building industry and increasing their staff.  Larry and Deborah Stephenson have an outstanding reputation in our community and the VIP Committee members as well as our Chamber Board thank them for all their hard work and determination for our community.
