BOATING
With such a large variety of waterways, boating in the Adirondacks has a long and storied history. From the development of the indigenous Adirondack Guideboat, an essential tool to business and transportation in the 1800s and early 1900s , to the ever-growing popularity of leisure craft, boating was and still is a much practiced tradition in the Adirondacks.
